Fruit Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 lb. butter
1 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 c. dates, pitted and chopped
2 c. glazed or candied fruit
2 1/2 c. walnuts
4 eggs, well beaten
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 3/4 c. sugar
Preparation

Melt butter; mix with eggs.
Mix flour, salt, baking powder and salt, then add to egg mixture.
Mix fruit and nuts; add to batter.
Spread in two 9-inch square baking pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
Cool; cut into bars and wrap.
