Grandma Elsie'S Lemon Meringue Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 eggs, separated
4 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. lemon juice
2 lemons (rind)
1 1/2 c. water
2 Tbsp. margarine
1 baked pie shell
Preparation

Blend egg yolks, cornstarch, salt, sugar, rind from 2 lemons and juice.
Add to 1 1/2 cups boiling water.
Stir until thick. Remove from heat and add margarine.
Pour into baked pie shell. Beat egg whites, adding sugar and vanilla to taste.
Pile on top of pie and place in 350\u00b0 oven until meringue is brown.
