Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. molasses
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 egg
1/4 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. plain flour
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1 c. hot water
Preparation

Cream sugar and butter.
Add egg and mix well.
Add molasses, hot water, flour, spices, soda and salt; mix well.
Bake in greased and floured 9 x 9 x 3-inch pan at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until done.
