10 Minute Catsup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 peck tomatoes
    1 green pepper
    1 onion, sliced
    2 or 3 stalks celery
    3 c. sugar
    1 pt. vinegar
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    3 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Cook
    tomatoes,
    pepper, onion, and celery all together until soft.
    Drain
    off water overnight.
    Then strain through sieve or food
    mill.
    To
    this add sugar, vinegar, spices and salt.
    Boil for
    10 minutes, pour into bottles and seal.
    For hot catsup,
    add 1/8 teaspoon red pepper and 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard.
