Black Walnut Chiffon Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. cake flour
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. salad oil
    3/4 c. water
    7 unbeaten egg yolks
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. black walnuts, finely chopped
    7 egg whites
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation
    Combine dry ingredients in a mixing bowl and then add oil, water, yolks and vanilla.
    Beat until smooth.
    Add walnuts.
    Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until very stiff.
    Fold egg whites into first mixture.
    Pour into ungreased tube pan.
    Preheat oven to 325\u00b0 and bake cake 1 hour or until done.
