Cuban Black Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. water
    1 lb. black beans
    1 medium onion, sliced
    1 green pepper, sliced
    3/4 c. olive oil
    1 bay leaf
    2 Tbsp. apple cider
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. brown rice, cooked
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients except rice.
    Bring to boil.
    Reduce to low heat; simmer 3 hours.
    When beans are tender, add rice and serve.
    Yield:
    8 servings.
