Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 or 4 medium potatoes, diced
    1 medium onion (spring onions with green tops may be used)
    5 or 6 asparagus spears (adds flavor)
    2 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Dice potatoes, onion and asparagus spears.
    Place in pan. Cover with enough water to cook done.
    Add butter, milk, salt and pepper.
    Simmer on low heat about 5 minutes.
