Marzipan Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 c. blanched almonds
    1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
    1 1/2 to 2 egg whites
Preparation
    Grind almonds very fine and combine with powdered sugar until well blended.
    Make a well in center of mixture and add unbeaten egg whites.
    Knead to a smooth consistency that does not stick when working with a spatula, then by hand.
    If it is too dry, add more egg whites.
    Paste should be moist enough to be formed into any desired shape.
    Keep paste covered while shaping, as it dries out easily.
