Caramel Nuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. pecan halves
    36 caramels
    5 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2/3 c. milk chocolate chips
    1 1/2 tsp. shortening
Preparation
    Arrange nuts in clusters.
    Place caramels in pan with butter. Heat until melted.
    Add vanilla.
    Drop onto nut clusters.
    Melt chocolate with shortening until hot.
    Spread over caramel on clusters.
