Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. granulated sugar
1 c. white Karo syrup
1/2 c. water
1 qt. (4 c.) raw peanuts
3 tsp. baking soda
Preparation

Cook the first 3 ingredients to thread spinning stage.
Add peanuts.
Cook until candy is a golden brown and peanuts have popped (about 10 minutes).
Remove from fire and add baking soda. Stir thoroughly, but quickly and pour immediately onto well-greased surface such as marble or porcelain.
When cold, slice knife or spatula underneath edges, popping candy up.
Break into pieces by hitting on back side with knife.
Store in an airtight container.
