Pecan Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. butter (1/2 margarine, 1/2 butter)
1 lb. brown sugar
1/2 lb. cherries
1 lb. shelled pecans
1/2 lb. pineapple
4 c. plain flour, sifted
6 eggs, separated
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 oz. or 2 1/2 Tbsp. pure lemon extract
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add egg yolks, one at a time.
Beat well after each.
Add 2 cups of flour with baking powder.
Add all extract.
Use 2 cups of flour to dredge fruit and nuts.
Fold into creamed mixture.
Beat egg whites stiff and fold into batter.
Let stand overnight.
