Oysters In Patty Shells - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pt. fresh standard oysters (undrained)
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 medium onion, finely chopped
    1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1 (4 oz.) can mushroom stems and pieces, drained
    2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
    1/4 tsp. lemon juice
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    dash of red pepper
    6 commercial patty shells, baked
Preparation
    Place oysters in a saucepan; cook over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes or until edges of oysters begin to curl.
    Drain.
    Melt butter in a large skillet; add onion and saute until tender.
    Add flour, stirring until blended.
    Stir in next 6 ingredients and oysters.
    Simmer, uncovered, 15 minutes, stirring frequently. Spoon oyster mixture into patty shells, and place on a lightly greased baking sheet.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 5 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
    Yields 6 servings.
