Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs
    2 c. sugar
    2 heaping Tbsp. butter
    vanilla
    1/4 c. buttermilk
    2 scant tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 pt. flour
Preparation
    Beat eggs and add sugar, butter and the milk, into which has been stirred the soda and salt.
    Add flavoring.
    Pour in about 3 pints of flour and knead until it is firm.
    Roll thin and cut with cookie cutter.
    Bake in moderate oven.
