Baked Alaska - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 egg yolks
    1/3 c. water
    1 devil's food cake mix
    mint or strawberry ice cream, softened
    6 egg whites
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 c. sugar
Preparation
    Mix the egg yolks, water and cake mix and place in a 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Freeze.
    Put the ice cream over the first layer 1/2-inch from pan edges.
    Freeze.
    Beat the egg whites and cream of tartar. Add the sugar gradually, one tablespoon at a time.
    Beat until stiff, then add to other layers and seal edges.
    Brown meringue. Freeze again.
    Eat that day.
