Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. sugar
    1 1/4 c. butter
    5 eggs
    1 c. milk
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. lemon juice or flavoring
Preparation
    Cream butter and
    sugar.
    Add
    one egg at a time.
    Beat well after each\tegg.
    Sift
    flour
    with baking powder and add alternately with
    milk.
    Add
    flavorings.
    Butter tube pan and sprinkle lightly with
    flour.
    Bake
    at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
    Do not open oven door while cooking.
