Easy Stew - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 to 2 lb. stew meat, cut up
2 Tbsp. oil
1 pkg. onion soup mix
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 c. water
4 potatoes, diced
2 to 4 carrots, diced
8 oz. frozen peas (optional)
10.5 oz. can beef consomme, undiluted
2 to 3 celery stalks, cut up
Preparation

Brown meat in oil; drain.
Add onion soup mix, cream of mushroom soup and water.
Simmer 20 minutes.
Add potatoes and carrots;
simmer
3
hours.
Add
peas,
consomme
and celery. Simmer 40 minutes.
If needed, thicken with cornstarch.
