Oatmeal-Chocolate Chip Caramel Bars - cooking recipe

1 3/4 c. Quaker oats
1 1/2 c. flour
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. butter Crisco, melted
1 Tbsp. water
1/2 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. nuts, chopped
1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. caramel ice cream topping (keep 1/4-inch from sides of pan)
1/4 c. flour
Preparation

Mix first 7 ingredients well (reserve 1 cup). Press the rest into a 9 x 13-inch greased pan. Bake for 12 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Cool for 10 minutes. Top with nuts and chocolate chips.
Mix caramel topping and flour until smooth. Drizzle over top. Sprinkle with reserved 1 cup oatmeal mixture.
Bake 18 to 22 minutes longer.
