Deer Steaks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. deer steak, (1 1/2-inches thick)
    2 large onions
    2 Tbsp. fat or oil
    1 1/2 c. water
    salt and pepper
    flour
Preparation
    Beat steaks with back of butcher knife or glass Coke bottle to tenderize.
    Dip into salt-pepper-flour mixture and fry in 2 tablespoons of oil or fat over medium-hot burner.
    Slice onions, thinly over steaks and pour in 1 1/2 cups water.
    Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
