Mamma Mia Minestrone(Soup) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion
    1 large carrot
    1 celery stalk
    2 mild Italian sausage (about 1/2 lb.), uncooked
    1 Tbsp. unsalted butter
    1 medium zucchini
    4 c. chicken broth
    1/3 c. spaghetti (broken into 1 inch pieces)
    1/2 tsp. dried oregano
    28 oz. can peeled and crushed tomatoes, undrained
    salt, to taste
Preparation
    1.
    Put the onion on the cutting board. With a knife, cut the onion in half from the pointed end to the root end. Pull off the papery skin with your fingers. Place the onion halves flat-side down on the cutting board and cut off the root ends. Chop the onion halves into small pieces. Put the onion pieces in a large saucepan.
