French Black Bottom Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg
    1 (4 oz.) pkg. French vanilla pudding
    1 medium bowl Cool Whip
    1 baked 9-inch pie crust
Preparation
    In small mixing bowl, cream the butter. Gradually add sugar, creaming until light.
    Add chocolate and vanilla.
    Beat in egg. Continue beating for 3 minutes at medium speed. Spoon into crust. Prepare mix according to package directions except in place of 2 cups milk, use 1 1/2 cups.
    Let stand until thick.
    Pour over mixture. Chill until firm. Top with Cool Whip.
