Soft Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/3 c. molasses
    1/2 c. lard
    2 eggs
    3/4 c. milk
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 scant tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. allspice
Preparation
    Beat eggs and molasses.
    Mix sugar and lard, then combine. Sift together 3 times the baking powder, flour, salt, soda and spices; add milk.
    Put together and beat thoroughly.
    Bake in a moderate oven at 350\u00b0 to 400\u00b0 for about 20 minutes.
