Swedish Rye Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 to 3/4 c. brown sugar
    3 tsp. caraway seed
    1 1/2 tsp. anise seed
    3 Tbsp. butter
    3 c. water
    2 yeast in 1/2 c. water
    4 to 6 c. rye flour
    3 tsp. salt
    white flour
Preparation
    Boil first 5 ingredients for 5 minutes; cool.
    Add remaining ingredients and enough white flour to make a dough.
    Knead well. Let rise until double in bulk.
    Punch down and let rise again. Shape into 3 loaves.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
    Reduce heat to 350\u00b0 and bake 50 minutes more.
