Braised Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. corn oil
    1 large yellow onion chopped
    1 cup canned crushed tomatoes
    1 medium green cabbage chopped
    salt
    pepper
Preparation
    Heat oil in a 12 inch skillet over moderate heat for 1 minute. Add onion and saute for 5 minutes, stirring often.
    Add cabbage, toss for 2 minutes.
    Reduce heat to low.
    Cover skillet.
    Cook for 40 minutes, stirring often.
    Add tomatoes.
    Salt and pepper (to taste).
    Cover and cook over low heat 5 minutes longer.
