Mexican Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. yellow corn meal (self-rising)
    3/4 c. milk
    1/4 c. salad oil (use to grease pan)
    3/4 lb. Cheddar cheese, shredded
    1 onion
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 (8 oz.) can cream-style corn
    3/4 lb. ground beef
    2 to 3 jalapeno peppers, chopped
Preparation
    Combine corn meal, milk, eggs and corn in a mixing bowl. Blend well and set aside.
    Brown ground beef and drain.
    Set aside.
    Pour 1/2 of corn meal batter into a greased 12 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Sprinkle with cheese and crumble beef over cheese. Sprinkle with onion and peppers.
    Pour remaining corn meal over top.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Serves 6.
