Pickle In A Jar - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    cucumbers
    vinegar
    sugar
    pickling spices
Preparation
    Cut cucumbers across in round the thickness desired.
    Fill a quart jar with the cucumber slices.
    Cover cucumbers with apple vinegar and put a screw-on lid on the jar tight.
    Put aside for several or more months.
    Pour off the vinegar (the cucumbers will have shrunk to about half volume).
    Fill a jar with cucumbers, leaving an inch or so at the top.
    Cover the cucumbers with as much sugar as the jar will take.
