Buttery Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. white syrup
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1/2 c. water
2 c. raw peanuts
1 tsp. soda
Preparation

Lightly butter 2 large cookie sheets (Pam may be used).
Do not use Teflon cookie sheets; it will ruin them.
Combine sugar, syrup and water in 3-quart or larger saucepan.
Cook and stir until sugar dissolves.
When syrup boils, blend in the butter. Stir frequently after mixture reaches the soft crack stage (270\u00b0). Add nuts; stir constantly until temperature reaches hard crack stage (305\u00b0).
Remove from heat.
Quickly stir in soda, mixing thoroughly.
Pour onto cookie sheets.
