Italian Beef - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 lb. beef roast
    2 env. dry Lipton onion soup mix
    3 Tbsp. oregano
    3 Tbsp. basil, crushed
    1/2 tsp. red pepper
    3 c. water
Preparation
    Mix oregano, basil, red pepper, onion soup mix and water in a jar.
    Shake vigorously until thoroughly blended.
    Pour over meat. Bake in medium low oven for 4-5 hours or until tender or you may use a slow cooker.
    After meat is done, shred well with a fork. Sprinkle mild pepper juice over meat and cook longer to blend flavors.
    Serve on buns or french bread with peppers.
    This freezes well.
