Rhubarb Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. sour milk or buttermilk
    1 1/2 c. raw rhubarb, finely chopped
Preparation
    Cream sugar, shortening and egg.
    Dissolve soda in milk.
    Add rest of the ingredients and mix well.
    Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch cake pan.
    Over the top, sprinkle 1/2 cup white sugar and 1/2 cup chopped nuts and sprinkle with cinnamon.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 45 minutes.
    Serve with whipped cream.
    Serve warm or cold.
