Betty'S Special Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sifted flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 stick oleo
2 Tbsp. Hershey's cocoa
1 c. water
1/2 c. Crisco shortening
2 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Sift flour, sugar and salt together; set this aside in bowl. Bring oleo, Hershey's cocoa, water and shortening to a boil.
Pour hot mixture over the sugar and flour.
Mix well.
Add eggs and mix.
Add buttermilk with baking soda, cinnamon and vanilla.
Mix well.
Bake in a 9 x 13-inch greased and floured pan at 400\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
