Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. uncooked white rice
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 qt. milk (4 c.)
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. light cream
    cinnamon, nutmeg and raisins (optional)
Preparation
    Combine rice with sugar, milk, salt and vanilla (and raisins, cinnamon and nutmeg) in a 1 1/2 to 2-quart casserole.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours (90 minutes), stirring when a crust forms on top.
    Add cream after the 90 minutes, but do not stir.
    Bake another 20 to 30 minutes.
    Cool.
    Pudding will get creamy while standing.
