Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 bag caramels
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    3/4 c. oleo
    German chocolate cake mix
    1 c. chocolate chips
    1 c. pecans, broken
Preparation
    Melt first 3 ingredients over low heat.
    Let stand 15 minutes while you bake a German chocolate cake mix according to directions.
    Put 1/2 batter into 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake 15 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Remove from oven; top with chocolate chips, pecans and caramel mixture.
    Put rest of cake dough on top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    (Best to bake a day ahead so caramel sets.)
