Cabbage Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 head cabbage
1/2 c. celery
1/2 c. onion
1 carrot, shredded
3 or 4 potatoes, diced
1/2 c. butter, melted
4 to 6 c. water
1/2 lb. bacon or ham, diced
Preparation

Melt butter in large soup pot.
Add celery, onions and carrots.
Saute for 5 minutes, then add 2 tablespoons of flour into butter mixture until smooth.
Add water.
Then add bacon or ham for flavor.
Add cabbage and potatoes.
Season with salt and pepper.
Simmer until well done.
