Beef Stroganoff - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. round steak, cut in small pieces
    1/4 c. flour
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    6 Tbsp. butter
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 can mushroom soup
    1 c. sour cream
Preparation
    Dredge steak in flour; brown with onions in butter.
    Add seasonings and water.
    Cover and simmer 45 to 60 minutes or until meat is almost tender, stirring occasionally.
    Add soup; stir to mix.
    Simmer 30 minutes or until beef is tender.
    Just before serving, stir in sour cream.
    Serve over cooked noodles.
