Lentil Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lentils
    1 large onion
    1 c. celery
    1 can tomatoes
    1 tsp. salt
    3 or 4 medium size potatoes
    2 lb. pork sausage
Preparation
    In large pot, cover lentils with water and bring to a boil. Pour off water, then add about 8 cups water.
    Add onion, celery, salt, potatoes and tomatoes.
    Simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
    Brown pork sausage in skillet.
    Pour drippings into soup.
    Cover and cook slowly until well done, several hours.
    Add pork sausage to soup before serving.
