Pickled Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 lb. cabbage
    4 green peppers
    4 large onions
    1 Tbsp. mustard seed
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    1 Tbsp. turmeric
    1/2 c. salt
    1 red hot pepper
    1 qt. vinegar
    2 lb. brown sugar
Preparation
    Chop cabbage as for slaw.
    Add onions, peppers, mustard seed, celery seed, turmeric and salt.
    Heat vinegar and brown sugar. Pour over mixture and mix well.
    Pack in jars and seal.
    Hot water bath for 10 minutes.
