Cold Asparagus Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. fresh asparagus, steamed al dente
    3/4 c. fresh mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
    1/4 c. cider vinegar
    1/2 c. salad oil
    1 clove garlic
    1/4 tsp. Dijon mustard
    1/8 tsp. thyme
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    salt and pepper to taste
    lettuce and tomato wedges
Preparation
    Whisk together the vinegar, oil, garlic, mustard, thyme, sugar, salt and pepper until smooth.
    Pour over mushroom slices. Refrigerate and marinate overnight.
    Bring to room temperature before serving.
