Crispy Fried Okra - cooking recipe
Ingredients

Okra - 20 to 30 small tender pods
Cornmeal
1 egg
oil
Salt
Preparation

Wash okra by hand.
(Lightly rub pods with a paper towel under running water.)
Pat dry.
Cut okra into bite-sized pieces. Beat egg and pour onto okra and toss lightly until okra is coated. Sprinkle cornmeal onto okra and toss lightly until okra is covered.
Pour into a pre-heated skillet of oil (enough to coat bottom of skillet), on medium high.
Cook for a few minutes until okra is browned on one side and turn with spatula.
Cook until browned all over.
Lift out onto plate covered with paper towels and salt to taste.
