Cherry Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter or shortening, melted
1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation

Sift flour, baking powder, salt and sugar into a mixing bowl. Blend in the butter or shortening until it resembles a coarse corn meal, using a pastry blender or two knives.
Add the egg and vanilla.
Mix until the dough sticks together in a ball.
Line bottom of pan.
Prick pastry with a fork to prevent puffing while baking.
Bake oven temperature at 400\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
