Canned Apple Pie Filling - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. cornstarch
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    10 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. lemon juice
    apples
Preparation
    Mix sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, allspice and water.
    Boil until thick.
    Add salt and lemon.
    Have apples packed into jars, pour sugar mixture over apples and seal.
    Boil in water for 30 minutes.
    Makes 7 cans.
