Huckleberry Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter flavor Crisco shortening
1 c. sugar
2 egg yolks (keep the whites)
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. milk
1 Tbsp. caramel syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
2 egg whites
1 1/2 c. huckleberries
Preparation

Cream shortening with sugar and egg yolks.
Mix dry ingredients and combine with creamed mixture, milk, syrup and vanilla.
Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into batter.
Coat berries with additional flour and gently fold in.
Pour batter into greased and floured 9 x 9 baking pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
Cool and serve with whipped cream.
