Steamed Vegetable Medley - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sliced carrots
    1/2 green pepper, cut into strips
    1 c. sliced yellow squash
    2 tsp. butter or margarine
    1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    chopped chives
Preparation
    Place sliced carrots, green pepper strips and sliced squash in steaming rack.
    Place rack over boiling water; cover and steam 3 to 5 minutes, or until vegetables are crisp-tender.
    Transfer vegetables to serving dish.
    Add butter, lemon juice, salt and pepper; toss gently.
    Sprinkle with chives.
    Yields 2 servings.
