Banana Nut Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    4 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. buttermilk
    2 tsp. soda
    4 c. flour
    3 mashed bananas
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Add eggs, one at a time.
    Mix well.
    Add vanilla.
    Combine soda and buttermilk.
    Add flour and buttermilk alternating, beginning and ending with flour.
    Add bananas and nuts.
    Bake in well-greased and floured tube pan and one 8-inch loaf pan at 300\u00b0 for 2 hours.
    Serves 20.
