Ham Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 loaf white sandwich bread, crusts removed
    4 eggs
    3 c. milk
    1 lb. mild Cheddar cheese, grated
    2 c. or more diced cooked ham
    butter or margarine
Preparation
    Butter bread on both sides.
    Beat eggs well and blend in milk. Dip bread slices in milk mixture (saturate) and place 1 layer in 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
    Cover bread layer with half of the cheese and all of the ham, spread evenly.
    Cover with another layer of bread slices, buttered and dipped as before.
    Cover with remaining cheese.
    Pour rest of egg-milk mixture over top.
    Refrigerate 1 hour before baking.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
