Rhubarb Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. diced rhubarb
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    2 c. flour
    1 c. sour milk or buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix rhubarb and sugar together and let stand. Cream sugar and shortening. Add egg. Add dry ingredients alternately with sour milk.
    Add vanilla and rhubarb mixture. Bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0 in a 9 x 12-inch pan. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
