Fassafern Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large cans tomatoes
    1 tsp. salt (rounded)
    1 tsp. pepper (scant)
    1/3 c. brown sugar
    crushed Melba toast
    1/4 lb. butter
Preparation
    Mix tomatoes, salt, pepper and brown sugar very well.
    Pour into shallow baking dish.
    Cover with crushed Melba toast and then cover entire top with lumps of butter.
    Bake in slow oven at 275\u00b0 or 300\u00b0 for 4 hours.
    Serves 4 plentifully.
