Hot Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    cabbage
    1 tsp. bacon fat
    sugar, salt and pepper to taste
    about 1 Tbsp. flour
    sweet or sour cream
    vinegar to taste (sweet pickle juice can be used)
Preparation
    Slice cabbage as for slaw.
    Cook with bacon fat, sugar, salt and pepper until tender in a little water. Sprinkle with the flour.
    Add the cream and bring to a boil. Add a little vinegar to suit your taste. Good when served with corn oysters (fritters).
