Chili Gumbo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. elbow macaroni
    1 onion, chopped
    1 1/3 c. cubed cheese
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
    1 large can plain chili
    1 dash garlic salt
Preparation
    Boil 1-quart water with salt and pepper to taste. Add the chopped onion.
    Cook onion 5 minutes.
    Add macaroni and tomatoes. Cook 15 minutes, then add chili with chili powder and garlic salt. Cut cheese in cubes and add to mixture.
    Cook slowly until dissolved.
