Pea Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    ham bone with meat as desired
    1 lb. split peas
    3 qt. water
    1 large onion, finely chopped
    2 chicken bouillon cubes or 2 Tbsp. instant bouillon
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1/2 tsp. oregano leaves
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 bay leaf
    1 1/2 c. thinly sliced carrots
    1 c. chopped celery
Preparation
    Combine; simmer uncovered 3 to 4 hours.
