Cheese Straws - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. New York State sharp Cheddar cheese
    2 Tbsp. melted butter or margarine
    2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. red pepper
Preparation
    Grate cheese into bowl; add butter.
    Stir bowl in sink of hot water.
    Add flour with pepper gradually to cheese mixture and knead with hands until smooth.
    Pack into cookie press.
    Put on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake in 275\u00b0 oven for 35 to 45 minutes. Sprinkle with salt while hot.
