Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. boiling water
1 c. Crisco
1 c. brown sugar
2 well beaten eggs
3 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cloves
1 1/2 tsp. ginger
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. molasses
Preparation

Pour water over shortening; add sugar, molasses and eggs. Beat well.
Sift together the flour, salt, baking powder, soda, cloves, ginger and cinnamon.
Add to other mixture and mix well. Place in 3 greased loaf pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 60 minutes.
